general description

This monocrystal of white tremolite is partly gem. It measures 13.5 x 6.3 x 3 cm. One observes some iridescences due to diffraction of light.

This sample, acquired thanks to support from Total, comes from afghan Kozano Munjan deposit. This sample is currently exposed in the Treasure Room, within the Gallery of Mineralogy of the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle.
