general description

The prismatic crystam is pink-violet and measures 3.7 x 1.4 x 0.8 cm. Its white matrix of marble emphasis the ruby.

This ruby was acquired thanks to support from Total and comes from the mineral deposit of Jegdalek in Pakistan. It is currently exposed in the Treasure Room, within the Gallery of Mineralogy of the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle.
