general description

Under this inventory number two quatrz samples are classified. This sample showed here, is composed of a multitude of hyaline quartz crystals, perfectly terminated and very lustrous.

This sample comes from Saint-Lary locality, Ariège in France. The Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle could obtain this specimen thanks to support from Total.

It is kept in the storage rooms of the collections of the Muséum (i.e., not yet displayed to the public).
