general description

This quartz sample measures 5.2 x 3.8 x 1 cm, and is the association of two transparent crystals which facets are lightly frosted. This association is characterized by an angle of 84.33°, it is called La Gardette twin.

This sample was acquired thanks tosupport from Total and comes from madagascan pegmatites of Ibity, near Antsirabe, Madagascar.

It is kept in the storage rooms of the collections (i.e., not yet displayed to the public).
