general description

This sample is composed of a mangano-neptunite crystal (pyramidal russet crystal) associated with analcime (white crystals), serandite (orange crystal foreground) and aegirine (black sticks).

This specimen comes from Mount Saint-Hilaire in Canada. The Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle could obtain it thanks to support from Total. It is kept in the storage rooms of the collections (i.e., not yet displayed to the public).
