general description

This sample shows a fribous bouquet of bluish-green gormanite on white albite. One observes small brown crystals of siderite. Crystals of gormanite measure on the average 10 mm.

This specimen comes from Lavra Gormanita mineral deposit in Minas Gerais in Brazil. The support from Total enables the acquisition of this specimen. It is kept in the storage rooms of the collections of the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle (i.e., not yet displayed to the public).
