visu_23 infos
FROM : Nasik, Maharashtra, India
SIZE : 17 x 12.5 cm

general description

On these two great specimens of goosecreekite, goosecreekite (white) is associated with tilbite crystals (pink) and with apophyllite crystals (colourless). These three minerals had settled in the centre of a basalt geode (hydrothermal sediment of low temperaure).

The support from Total made the acquisition of this Nasik specimen possible . This sample is currently exposed in the Treasure Room, within the Gallery of Mineralogy of the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle.
