general description

This crystal of elbaite is prismatic and terminated, its diameter is 6.5 x 1.5 cm.

This elbaite is green on its centre and pink at its edges. It has slight zonings and comes from Pedeirnera, Minas Gerais in Brazil.

Acquired thanks to support from Total, it is currently exposed in the Treasure Room, within the Gallery of Mineralogy of the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle.
