This sample is a carved yellow-orange-coloured danburite. It measures 2.7 x 2 x 1.4 cm.

The initial sample from which the sample carving comes was found in Anjanabonoina in Madagascar. This gem was offered to the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle by the association "les Amis de la Minéralogie".

It is kept in the storage rooms of the collections of the Muséum (i.e., not yet displayed to the public).
