general description

This sample shows many black crystals of chevkinite-(Ce), biterminated (flat termination), their resineous lusters are well marked. The sample measures 12.7 x 8 cm, crystals measure until 3 x 1.5 cm.

This sample comes from Jugnot pakistanish mine in Tangir valley. It was acquired thanks to support from Total.

This sample is currently exposed in the Treasure Room, within the Gallery of Mineralogy of the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle.
