Mineral
formation

Minerals are formed during the various events which work our planet. During the episodes of volcanism, of mountains or oceans formation, minerals are constantly created, from the deepest of the Earth till the surface of our glass windows...

These processes are often microscopic and very slow. But, after thousands of years, splendid and intriguing crystals are formed: only when certain exceptional conditions do allow it.

We will now explore some of these mechanisms,
through 3 examples :
METAL SULFIDES
SEDIMENTARY CARBONATES
ROCK-FORMING SILICATES
